“Tim is not only the best public speaker I’ve ever seen, but his ability to reduce public speaking to a set of repeatable processes and principles that others can follow – even those with less ‘talent’- was something I never believed was possible.”

"Oratium’s offering is completely unique in its field. I’ve been down the “failed actor” route in this area, and all it taught me was that failed actors fail for a reason. There is truly no comparison, and the difference is: this works.”

How it Works: The Oratium Approach

Oratium customizes its approach based on client preferences across a range of areas (number of participants; degree of individual coaching; desired extent of follow-up coaching)

A “Typical” Engagement

In general, engagements follow a 3 stage process which pivots around a central coaching masterclass, and which contains some/all of the following elements:

I) Shared Preparation:

  • Project design/goal setting
  • Oratium review of available speaking samples (“The concussion test”)
  • Participants complete the Oratium speaker diagnostic
  • Oratium produces an initial “speaker competency profile” (benchmark) for each participant
  • Participant pre-coaching consultation

II) Masterclass:

Phase 1 –

  • Scene and goal-setting
  • Review of diagnostics/initial speaker profiles
  • Benchmark presentations
  • Principles of presentation architecture. Presentation/discussion

Phase 2 –

  • Review
  • Principles of presentation mechanics. Presentation/discussion
  • Live exercises/individual presentations
  • Review and individual Coaching
  • Recalibration of speaker profiles
  • Recommended further action

III) Post-event Support:

  • Debrief of Masterclass
  • Final reporting/speaker profiling
  • Personalized action planning
  • Reinforcement/Refresher coaching
  • Presentation design support

Oratium works only with CEOs or senior leaders, with individuals or small groups depending on the desired degree of individual coaching. In the case of group instruction, certain criteria must be met regarding appropriate group dynamics. Coaching may take place in an individual or group setting depending on certain criteria

A Word On Cost and Confidence:

Cost varies by client relative to the number of participants, and the exact teaching/coaching model selected.

When thinking about the cost, consider these questions:

  • What is the total investment we make in our CEO or other leaders?
  • What ROI do we get on many of these costs?
  • What would be the value of a substantial improvement in speaking ability, when played out with customers, investors and employees?

Oratium does not offer a “money-back” pricing policy. Oratium offers “pay based on value” pricing policy. You are advised of the expected fee at the time of the contract. On conclusion you pay whatever portion of the fee you believe reflects the value you received.
