This is an interesting question. In addition to being passionate about what we do, we’re passionate about doing the right thing with what we earn.
Sure, we pay ourselves a salary and we reinvest in our product. But we direct a portion of our earnings toward making a real difference in the world.
And so we’re delighted to have entered into a 10-year partnership with Food for the Hungry in Peru. Currently nearly a third of the Peruvian population lives below the poverty line, and two-thirds don’t have access to clean water or proper sanitation. Violence is also prevalent, as 69% of Peruvian women report suffering from physical abuse.
We’re pleased to partner with Food for the Hungry community development programs in Peru to create a healthy and clean environment in Belen, as well as breakthrough training to prevent violence.
