TED talks have changed people’s expectations — not just about what makes for a great idea, but how to effectively PRESENT one. In keeping with the entire TED ethos, Oratium serves as a pro bono organizational partner with TEDxCambridge, with Oratium’s presentation design and delivery methodology playing a critical role in guiding speakers’ presentation development.
All TEDxCambridge speakers receive one-on-one coaching from Oratium faculty in order to achieve the qualities of the best TED talks: singularity of message, simplicity of argument, and a “sticky” delivery designed for memorability.
Over 12 – 16 weeks, TEDxCambridge speakers learn from Oratium instructors how to select the right content for their talks, how to simplify and sequence it properly, and how to engage audience members’ brains fully to make their idea an “idea worth spreading.”
The results are measurable: two 2014 Oratium-coached talks have recently been selected as “weekly picks” on the TEDx website, and a third has been viewed over 40,000 times on the TEDx YouTube channel.
